I am an optometrist in Waco, TX, and live on the real Mt Carmel, not the one most of you saw on TV 4 years ago. (Apparently the Davidians owned this real hill years ago, but the city needed a big chunk of it for the new water treatment facility, and the Davidians sold most of the land, and bought the gopher mound outside of town) I've been gaming more than 25 years now, but not nearly as much lately. Waco is not a hotbed of gaming, by any stretch, unless you count CCGs. I have played in one of Alan's previous events, a Conquistador game a while back ( assumed an abandoned postion, and won.) My last serious game of RCW was back at the Staten Island Origins tournament - the most bizzare game I ever played - I was dealt all white leaders, except for one minor red flunky and Lenin and Trotsky. It's is amazing how the Red forces can hurt when you forget to have V.I. bring his troops and walk into a white held area, followed the next turn by Trotsky. No red replacements each turn, what a shame. I doubt if anything like that will happen again this time, but I look forward to seeing what will happen.
