I am 47 years old (oh God, how fast the time pass ...) and I am married with Tina, who suceeded in giving me three boys : Luca (15 years), Renato (10 years) and Mistake ... err ... Giulio (17 months old). I am the GM of a small Company (40 emplyed only) here in Romagna (check the MAP and find the Romagna area : the white square is Ravenna, and I live just under the letter "m" : the town is Cesena. So be prepared to see me attacking Romagna just to stay ... at home). Our Company produces polystirene packaging and is quite successfull since I came in (oh ... Modesty ... this is his name). Untill 3 years ago I was the Export Manager of a bigger Company in Modena (again check the Map) and I used to travel abroad from Japain to the USA and Canada, passing through near all the Arab Countries. A very interesting job, but I left it to stay with my family : the children were growing and I found that they were too "far" from me, so a quick decision was necessary. I do not remember when I started play "strategic" games : probably at the age of 9 or 10, when I invented my first game together with my cousin Carlo. Then I started playing with the AIRFIX little soldiers, using home made rules for movement and fire, untill I subscribed to the AIRFIX Magazine (directly from the UK). Here I found an add from the LONDON WARGAME GROUP and I bought almost all their miniature rules : my favourite period beeing the Republican Rome, I formed a huge Roman Army, followed by a Gallic/Celtic/German Army and I played the ANCIENTS rules for about 5 years. Then I found another add from a certain Avalon Hill and I was hooked forever. Actually I have a huge collection of games and specialistic magazines and 'zines, and I start teaching this ... art of wargaming to my boys. My favourite games (actually) are, without specific order : - UP-FRONT - 1830 - DIPLOMACY and COLONIAL DIPLOMACY - FORMULE DE' - RUSSIAN CAMPAIGN - CRY HAVOC and Co. ( with the new rules) - ANZIO - NAPOLEONIC SPI In diplomatic multiplayer games I have the habit to try any possible solution through detailed discussions, but I tend to put too much confidence in my allies, so I rarely win a game, finishing usually second or third. Unfortunately for my ex-allied I also tend to search a revenge if I am stabbed too early, so my ex-buddy also lose many opportunities to win a game ... now you are adviced, OK Good gaming to all : I will contact you as soon as the game will start. Ciao Pietro
