I am 40 and am a university lecturer, teaching Internet and multimedia chiefly to students on information management courses. I will be changing universities come January and be working around the corner from home so expect more email from me in the New Year :-) I am married with two boys (8 and 11). My wife is not a gamer but puts up with my obsession. I play mostly PBEM but do get out occasionally to FTF games. I have a large number of multi-player games on the go. I have played Machiavelli (1st ed) three times before PBEM using the Internet Diplomnacy 'Judge', a program that works out the results of moves. I was in the winning alliance for two of these games and the last person to be eliminated by the winner (Venice) in the third. I know Karl from way back: we first met at Sheffield University Wargames Club in 1980. I last played FTF with Karl at Nottingham Games Club, much earlier in the year. Paul is in two PBEM games with me, a Mach 2nd ed game which he is running and an ROR game which is stalled. Thomas is also in this ROR game. I have exchanged lots of email about wargaming with Pietro, but this is our first confrontation in a game. Best of luck to everyone - may the plague never strike you!
