Howdy All I guess I'm one of the young pups, 38, am married for about a year so no kids yet. My wife tolerates my gaming very grudgingly so it is mostly e-mail stuff. I first started gaming in 1972 with 1914 by AH. I was an avid gamer all through the seventies and eighties amassing a large collection, 300+, of games. Grad School and Post-doc slowed that down in the late 80's and 90's. I must say that I am not a collector, I do not own a game I haven't punched and played and have never sold a game. This is despite my wifes best efforts to get me to sell my games and sci-fi books. I tend toward strategic games; WIF, WIE, Empires in Arms. I do some role-playing, in fact I'm running a DragonQuest game by e-mail that needs some new life. The current players are overcommitted to other things (Kids, job, house, etc, where are their prioroties) and can't participate enough so if anyone is interested let me know. The only other games I am playing in are a Diplomacy e-mail game I play and two Diplomacy e-mail games I'm running. I have a Ph.D. in Drosophila Molecular genetics which explains why I'm working on a Database of Mouse Gene Expression. Go figure. I am at the Jackson Lab in Bar Harbor Maine and have been here for almost three years. I do not know any of the other players, I don't think. I need to review the list better. I have had a few e-mails with Alan over the Grognard quiz but have not gamed with him. I look forward to a great game of Empires. It is one of my favorite games and I have played it often, the last time was three years ago. Six player defeat in the East, I was Poland. I finished second and managed to get the Mongols all the way to Ile de France through overactive pillaging of my border provinces. It was fun. Dale
