To All, I'm 38, married to a wonderful, understanding woman who smiles and accepts my wargaming affliction without malice or envy. We have two kids, Louise (13 yrs) and Eamon (1.75 yrs). We live and work in the metro Detroit area (Birmingham, specifically); Diane is involved with office/business management with an international land development firm, and I am a mid-level manager (working my way up!) with a fast-moving computer consulting/contracting company. Both Diane and I are USAF veterans (Diane of 4 years, and I of 14), and I am affiliated with the Michigan Air National Guard. I have been wargaming since I was a wee lad, when my brother and I grabbed a copy of AH's Anzio way back in 1971. This addiction continues to this day, and my involvement in the hobby at large has grown considerably of late. I am somewhat involved with running four wargaming conventions each year in the metro Detroit area (three are one-day gamefests, and one is a major regional convention, Michicon), and am "president" of a local gaming "club" that gathers frequently for multi-player and monster team games. We recently finished a game of Europa Universalis, and were quite frustrated with the rules inconsistencies. Take a look at my Web page at http://www.cris.com/~Yankeeap/ (shameless plug). I have a collection of between 250-300 wargames, and I'm constantly trading, buying, and selling used games over the Internet. Sorry to bore you with all the details. I don't beleieve I've had the pleasure of meeting any of you prior to this gaming opportunity, other than Alan's generous moderation of a previous After the Holocaust PBEM game, and our current involvement as uneasy neighbors in another game in which we are both mere pawns :). I look forward to this game, as it has always been a favorite, and one which is one of the best multi-player wargames ever conceived. Good luck to you all.
