Wurtemburg* - LU/L TREATIES IN FORCE *Ending in 1545 Treaty of the Holy Alliance 1. The Papal States, the Hapsburgs and England will all declare war on France in 1539, and attack in 1540. 2. No power should sign a truce with the French. 3. Any resulting peace treaty must be approved and signed by all three powers. 4. This treaty shall expire in 1545. *Ending in 1545 Treaty between Hapsburgs and the Papacy 1. Hapsburgs and the Papacy declare an alliance 2. Each can use the territory of the other for movement, subject to agreement on a unit by unit basis. 3. The Papacy is allowed to send Missionaries through Hapsburg areas without hindrance. 4. This treaty lasts from 1540 to 1545. It will be renewable at the option of both parties. *Ending in 1546 Treaty between France and the Ottomans TREATY OF VENICE - 1540 This treaty between Francis I of France and Sulieman of the Ottoman Empire comes into effect on the first day of the Christian year of 1541. This treaty will be in force until the end of the Christian year 1546, thus for a total of 6 years. The Treaty of Venice has its foundation in the need for a concerted effort against the expansionist and ineffectual rule of Charles V of the Hapsburg Dynasty. This treaty, although between France and the Osman Dynasty, is open to inclusion of other powers, upon the mutual consent of both Sulieman and Francis. The particulars of this treaty are encapsuled in the clauses below. 1) France and the Ottoman Empire declare an alliance 2) Each can use the territory of the other for movement. Conquered territories can be used at each others will. The core or mother territories of the two powers can be used mutually but subject to agreement on a unit by unit basis. 2a) Both sides agree to overlook any zone of control conflicts between their two forces. 3) Each power will aid the other with monetary funds when requested and when able. These monetary funds may be exchanged in the form of either a loan or a grant, but is to be determined at the time of the exchange. 4) Freedom of religion will be granted to all conquered peoples. 5) This treaty lasts from 1541 to 1546. It will be renewable at the option of both parties. *Ending in 1555 Treaty of 1543 As observer and requested by the Lutherians and Ottomans I hereby announce the treaty as specified below; 1. The Lutherans and the Ottoman Empire declare a secret alliance. a. The alliance is made public when the use of any provision of it shows that it exceeds the normal rules limitations of the game or upon the agreement by both parties that the time is ripe for such revelation. b. Each can use the territory of the other for movement, without movement point penalty. (Not that I think our paths will cross.) Implementation of this rule reveals the alliance and makes it public per above. 3. In return, freedom of religion is guaranteed only to Lutherans. Any prior freedom of religion granted to Papal missionaries is hereby revoked. a. The lives of Papal missionaries stacked with Ottoman military units upon revelation of this treaty are forfeit and are hereby beheaded per Ottoman custom. b. Ottoman Armies, Navies, and Jannissaries by default shall not kill missionaries of the Lutherans. Lutheran missionaries may freely stack with the Ottomans and are under the protection of the Ottoman Empire and Sulieman the Magnificent. c. Implementation of this rule reveals the alliance and makes it public per 1.a. 4. Each power will aid the other with monies when requested and when able. a. Said monies is considered foreign aid. These are not loans. b. Implementation of this rule DOES NOT necessarily reveal the alliance per 1.a. 5. This treaty lasts until mutual cancellation by one or both parties
