So how many points did the Papacy end up having officially? And everyone else? Will the final tally be posted? I enjoyed the game and appreciate having been given the opportunity to jump in at about the halfway point. Although I have played many multiplayer games face-to-face, this was my first via PBeM. Miscellaneous Comments: The last time I played this game (years and years ago) predated much of the errata. I’m not sure I understand the inclusion of the “massive” neutral armies other than to make it harder to take over the non-player cities. In this one glimpse that I got, my impression is that this was done to make it less historical and more difficult/ interesting/ challenging for the players. But I could be wrong. At any rate, even though it would have made the Papacy weaker (making it easier for the French, Hapsburg’s and Ottoman’s to run over northern Italy), I’m not convinced the neutral armies are better than the original rules. Regarding diplomacy, I was surprised at the lack of “wheeling and dealing”. Part of this was no doubt due to the fact I came into the game late and things probably settled down a bit. Everyone seemed fairly satisfied with the status quo. I could understand this from the Lutheran player as he seemed to have had things in his favor from the time I came on board, but it seemed that only the Hapsburgs were interested in doing anything about it. In other games I’ve played, people carefully watched who had the lead (or appeared to have the lead) and were always ready to gang up on him. Other than that, I think everything worked out pretty well. As I said, I enjoyed the game and wouldn’t mind doing it again in the future (although, at the moment, I’ve just begun a multiplayer CyberBoard game of Imperium Romanum II [different time, same place] so I wouldn’t want to get into one right away). It was great meeting you all. Mark N. (The Papist) ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
